FROM BASE OIL TO PERFORMANCE
Advanced technology. Superior quality. Consistent performance.
The process
HOW A LUBRICANT IS MADE
-
01
Base Oils
The foundation of every lubricant, chosen for the required viscosity and stability.
-
02
Performance Additives
Additive packages that provide wear protection, cleanliness and oxidation resistance.
-
03
Formulation
Base oils and additives combined to meet the target specification.
-
04
Blending
Components blended under controlled conditions.
-
05
Testing
Key properties checked against the product specification.
-
06
Finished Lubricant
The approved product, filled and ready for use.
Quality Control
PROPERTIES THAT DEFINE PERFORMANCE
What each key lubricant property tells you.
Viscosity
A lubricant's resistance to flow — the most important property for film strength and protection.
Viscosity Index
How much viscosity changes with temperature. A higher index means more stable viscosity.
Flash Point
The lowest temperature at which vapours can ignite — an indicator of volatility and safe handling.
Pour Point
The lowest temperature at which the oil still flows — important for cold starts.
TBN
Total Base Number: the oil's reserve capacity to neutralise acids formed during combustion.
Density
Mass per unit volume, used for quality checks and volume–weight conversion.
Performance Testing
Tests that show how a product performs against its specification.
Batch Consistency
Checking that every batch matches the approved product.
